Be an active member of your healthcare team. Take a proactive approach in managing the risks associated with your PICC line

CareAline’s Hypoallergenic PICC Line Sleeve with patented utility offers a buttonhole that guides line(s) off the skin providing a barrier from bacteria and contamination, while also protecting the skin from irritation and pressure related injuries, helping reduce exposure to infection. It is the only product on the market to have a securing pocket technology to safely store and secure PICC Lines and extensions.  The two-layer design provides safe securement that keeps the patient in mind and was functionally designed to reduce dependency on adhesive products. Hypoallergenic cotton offers high quality comfort first, breathable material, with no added skin irritants such as coatings, latex or rubber. Product is easily washable in a machine washer and dryer, or by hand in a hospital.

How to use the CareAline PICC Sleeve

After simply pulling the sleeve onto your arm and over the insertion site, the cap(s) and line is fed through a buttonhole then placed in a pocket. The pocket is a simple but important feature that keeps lines and caps off of the skin and is unique to CareAline’s patented products. The top of the sleeve is then folded down providing a second layer of protection. Access the line as indicated while keeping the sleeve in place and secure. The pocket can be faced up or down to accommodate line placement.

Designed for the arm or leg the CareAline PICC sleeve can easily be moved to the side (just like your clothing) for a site check. It does not contain latex or any type of metal that would interfere with an MRI or any other scan.

Whether at the hospital, clinic, home or in the community, you will be provided with the privacy and security to live your life free from the risk associated with hanging venous access  lines.

Care

All of our products can be machine washed on any cycle. We recommend machine drying on a medium heat cycle.

When in the hospital, you can wash in the sink and lay flat to dry when necessary.**

We recommend washing every 1-3 days and when soiled.

*PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOES NOT REPLACE THE STERILE BANDAGE USED TO SECURE THE TUBING AT THE INSERTION SITE

**AVOID STRETCHING THE FABRIC WHEN WET - DO NOT WRING, OR HANG TO DRY

    Great product. Exceptional customer service.

What a wonderful company. I emailed over a holiday weekend and got a prompt phone call to let me know that my order would be rushed to me. Then I got a follow up call and another product rushed to me! Can't say enough good things about this company. The product is easy to use and looks great! My daughter loves the protection and confidence it gives her.

    AMAZING!

I bought this product for my girlfriend and she's thanked me every single day for how amazing it is for her. She was dealing with discomfort with sleeping, moving around, and performing daily tasks before. She now says that she doesn't even realize that her picc is there when she has on the sleeve! Thanks for having such a great product and making my girlfriend happy!

    Love these picc line covers!

Posted by Debbie on 6th Nov 2015

The material is soft and comfortable and the design is very functional. The cover has an opening to pull the picc line extension through and a small pocket to house the cap, clamp and tubing. Once I have put on this picc line cover, I hardly know that it is there. NOTE: I have 10 1/2" bicep and ordered size 4. I wish I had ordered next size larger, as it seemed a little tight when placing. I am expecting a size 5 in the mail soon and hope it will be a better fit.

    comfort and confidence

Posted by happy customer on 21st Sep 2015

This is my first picc line. I wore this sleeve at a restaurant and after a quick trip out to my car to hook up my afternoon IV I was able to eat lunch and feel comfortable and discreet. What I like most is the pocket for storing my extension rather than wrapping it around my arm like my nurse showed me. I also like that there is no need to lift the entire sleeve for access-this is nice and easy/discreet when away from home. I have a 10 1/4 inch bicep with arm straight and size 4 fits well-snug and stays put even after hours out an about. The improvements I suggest are to use black stitching on black as an alternative to the bright color, expand the colors offered to include a few shades of nude/skin tone with no contrast stitching, make the pocket a little wider (but not deeper) since it's hard to get the extension in with one hand and finish the raw edge for a neater/dressier look. My doctor mentioned that a picc cover sleeve would be a great give away for patients after a hospital stay and I will show her this one since I like the unique design so much.

    Easy and discreet

I am new to an at home PICC line. I have used one before briefly in a hospital setting so privacy wasn't really an issue or option. From afar it just looks like a sports band. It is easy to use and far more attractive than a sock or the medical dressing they gave me. I am a thin guy 120lbs and I am in between a 4 and a 5. Also the customer service was great. A+

    Great product!!

Posted by Chris on 17th Aug 2015

The sleeve is made out of good material and pretty durable. My daughter was on antibiotics at home that I had to give her through her line and it was very convenient to just pull out the line give her the antibiotic and cover it back up. Before I got the sleeve I had to remove the whole cotton sleeve she had. Overall the product is great Only thing I recommend is when she is on her antibiotics, it takes 30 minutes to go in and she carries a little bubble around, it would be nice if there was something to hold the bubble instead of her just holding it in her hand Thanks!

    Love our sleeve

Posted by Alison Donahue on 30th Jul 2015

Our sleeve has been wonderful for my 6 yr. old daughter. Her appendix ruptured so we have our picc line at home for at least a month. She loves how comfortable it is and even in the heat she is fine. I ordered the smaller sleeve but emailed the company and was given a size 2 just in case. I would recommend the 2 for a child like my daughter whose bicep measured 5.5 inches because the size 1 is very very tiny more for a tiny infant. I ordered this while my daughter was in the hospital and it was at my house when we arrived home. I will and have recommended CareAline for the pediatric floor at U Mass since they deal with many picc lines there! Our sleeve has made a difficult thing much easier to deal with! Thank you, CareAline!!!

    Keeps it safe

Posted by Unknown on 2nd Jul 2015

The product is well constructed and the pocket offers good protection for my PICC line. It is a little bit longer than I would like and in the summer months it tends to get hot. I wish there was an option for a thinner or more breathable fabric and a shorter sleeve. I think I would be fine with this in the winter but my PICC better be gone by then.
