CareAline PICC Line Sleeve
Be an active member of your healthcare team. Take a proactive approach in managing the risks associated with your PICC line
CareAline’s Hypoallergenic PICC Line Sleeve with patented utility offers a buttonhole that guides line(s) off the skin providing a barrier from bacteria and contamination, while also protecting the skin from irritation and pressure related injuries, helping reduce exposure to infection. It is the only product on the market to have a securing pocket technology to safely store and secure PICC Lines and extensions. The two-layer design provides safe securement that keeps the patient in mind and was functionally designed to reduce dependency on adhesive products. Hypoallergenic cotton offers high quality comfort first, breathable material, with no added skin irritants such as coatings, latex or rubber. Product is easily washable in a machine washer and dryer, or by hand in a hospital.
How to use the CareAline PICC Sleeve
After simply pulling the sleeve onto your arm and over the insertion site, the cap(s) and line is fed through a buttonhole then placed in a pocket. The pocket is a simple but important feature that keeps lines and caps off of the skin and is unique to CareAline’s patented products. The top of the sleeve is then folded down providing a second layer of protection. Access the line as indicated while keeping the sleeve in place and secure. The pocket can be faced up or down to accommodate line placement.

Weird fit for my daughters line
My daughter is 18 months old, I measured her bicep and purchased the size 2 as her arm was 6-7inches around and the sleeve fit perfectly. My daughters line is a little long and goes past her wrist. I ended up flipping the sleeve around and pointing the lumen up to make it easier for her. She wears it everday while at daycare and she has had 0 issues with it. The material is lightweight which is perfect for these hot summer months. Without the sleeve she was forced to wear a long sleeve shirt to daycare to ensure her line was covered. This product has been wonderful! I ordered Sunday PM and received it Wednesday (Located in MD).

Would buy another!
I love the quality and ingenuity of the product. The only drawback for me is the length of my line. I can't completely fold the fabric over. It's not a big deal, though. It hides what I need to keep hidden.

Great cover
I bought another cover through Amazon and it fit perfectly the first day, then strectched out so I was constantly pulling it up (I tried washing it in hot water, drying it, etc). So I returned it and got one size smaller. It was so tight it was cutting off my circulation! Tried wearing it on my other arm to stretch it out, but nothing. Had to return that one too. Luckily I then stumbled upon this site. This cover is so comfortable and easy to use (albeit slightly confusing the first time to figure out exactly the correct way to put it on). I highly recommend it! My only complaints are the lack of variety available and the fact that there's a tag that sticks out.

I wish I would have got one a long time ago
I have had a couple of PICC lines over the past two years and have not gotten a cover until now and I wish I would have a long time ago it is really comfortable. I just wish that all the colors were available my three first picks were black, purple and orange and they were all three gone. I have checked every once in a while for the past few months to see if there are any in those colors and so far every time that I look they still do not have them.

Great product
I am a nurse myself and I just got a PICC line placed for the first time. I was looking for a comfortable, natural fiber PICC line cover that was also user friendly. This product is comfortable and looks great. The pocket holds the PICC port safely away from the skin. The nurse in the facility where my PICC line was placed was also very impressed by this product. But I wish that that all the colors were in stock and I also wish that there was an option just to buy a plain matching color sleeve to wear on the non-PICC arm. In the warmer weather, having colored sleeves on both upper arms would look like more of a fashion statement and would draw less attention to the fact that one is actually trying to cover a medical device.

Made a great gift!
Highly recommend! Bought for a relative who was getting a second round of treatment and needed a PICC line left in for a month. She had tried various other wraps and bandages the first time and none were comfortable. I was looking for a sewing pattern to make her a sleeve when I found this site. I figured instead of trying to make one that would work and be safe I'd just order from here because the reviews were so positive. She was so pleased with her sleeve! The colors and sizes available were great, and ordering was easy. Thank you!

Exceeds expectations
Soft, comfortable and most importantly, safe! My son's wingless PICC made him nervous and it was impossible to stabilize. Once he put the care-a-line on he felt the line was safe and he felt free to participate in all his normal activities again!
